One of the greatest challenges facing utilities today is the transformation oftheir organization through integration of their business functions to form corebusiness processes. This paper describes how the Colorado Springs Utilities WaterResources Department, Collection and Distribution Services Division of ColoradoSprings, Colorado, links its business processes by the application of informationtechnology and how new systems were integrated with old. The paper focuses on theuse of an Advanced Integrated Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System(AISCADA). Includes figures.
