This slide presentation outlines information on acoustic leak noise loggers that included: default listening times should not be used withoutfirst evaluating the usage characteristics of thespecific location;operators should evaluate usage characteristicswhen conducting acoustic leak detection;the usage may change throughout the year,therefore the settings may need to be changedafter the usage profile changes; and, in many cases in areas with significant amounts ofautomatic irrigation systems – the most effectiveleak noise logging times are often between 12midnight and 2 a.m. rather than 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. Includes figures.
