Examples of projects are listed, along with the statement that a successful project includes: under budget;ahead of schedule;quality work;few complaints;few change orders; and,These Will Not Change in the Future! These components of a successful project are thebenchmark by which ourprojects are defined. Engineering andproper risk allocation willbecome increasingly importantas more focus will be put on thetask to repair our aginginfrastructure. The premise and the principle findings of a task force formed to examine risk assignment are provided. Examples of risk allocation decisions are listed. Teamwork is stressed as the key component of a successful project.
