Don’t feel you have to ask questions that start “can I” or “can you.” Don’t shortchange the estimating process. When problems occur, don’t accept quick and dirty answers. Expect your computer to work. Don’t put up with prima donnas. Provide for ongoing training of staff programmers. Prioritize computerization projects.
